Story

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, tells the story of 4 childhood friends who find a pair of pants that inexplicably fit all 4 of them regardless of their size when they are due to spend their first summer apart in 16 years.

When I first heard about the movie, I thought the plot was a little ridiculous. A movie that revolved around pants didn’t make a lot of sense to me. However, the movie isn’t about the pants, it’s a coming of age story about the girls and how they grow and change throughout the summer. They are all dealing with distinct problems.

Acting

A film like this needs chemistry within its leads and this movie has it in spades. Blake Lively, Amber Tamblyn, Alexis Bledel and America Ferrera act and feel like close friends and it makes their scenes all the more heartwarming.

Each girl is her own person and when they come together, no one is outshining anyone else. And given the fact that they spend a significant amount of the movie away from each other, each girl has an adequate amount of time to win you over with their performance. The most memorable being America Ferrera’s followed by Amber Tamblyn.

Just a girl who gives reviews on some movies that she’s seen. Some may be old, some may be new. There’s good and bad too. http://www.thecinematicaficionado.com/
