Vampire’s Kiss tells the story of Peter Loew a literary agent who believes he is turning into a vampire after a one-night stand with a woman named Rachel.
Honestly, the story is not that weird. It sounds like it could be really introspective and weird and it only has one of those descriptions. Try and guess which one it is.
The acting in this movie is absolutely wild. And I’m not sure if I mean it in a positive or negative way. I will say that it will keep you on the edge of your seat because Peter is an unpredictable character and Nicolas Cage is an unpredictable actor. It’s one of those performances where I commend the actors around him because I would have been laughing the whole time. It’s just so bizarre… Also, I am not 100% sure if he was British in this movie, he had a fluctuating accent and while it struck me as a little odd, everything made sense.
This performance is a lot of things in one. It’s funny, intense and very unsettling. And I think it is a testament to Nicolas Cage’s acting ability because I don’t know a lot of actors who could pull off a performance like this because there are so many things in this movie that made me question why I was watching this movie.
